Cookie Policy

Cookies are small files that a website stores in your browser. This page explains which ones are involved when you use SnagLedger (https://snagledger.pages.dev).

Cookies on SnagLedger

SnagLedger doesn't use advertising, retargeting or cross-site tracking cookies.

  • Analytics: SnagLedger uses a privacy-friendly analytics tool hosted on its own server. The tool doesn't use cookies, doesn't follow you across other sites and only reports totals, such as page views and referring sites. See the Privacy Policy.
  • Security and performance: if SnagLedger uses a content delivery network such as Cloudflare, it may set a strictly necessary cookie (such as __cf_bm) to filter bots and protect the site. It isn't used for advertising.
  • Preferences: if the site ever adds a setting like dark mode, your choice may be saved in your browser. It's never sent to SnagLedger.

SnagLedger itself only sets strictly necessary cookies. If it ever adds cookies of its own that aren't strictly necessary, it will ask for your consent first and update this page.

Third-party scripts and images

Some content is loaded straight from Amazon's servers, so Amazon is involved even before you click a link:

  • Amazon product images. Product photos are shown directly from Amazon's image servers (such as m.media-amazon.com). When a page with a product image loads, Amazon receives your IP address, your browser's user agent and the address of the page.
  • Amazon OneLink (when enabled). SnagLedger may use Amazon OneLink, a script loaded from amazon-adsystem.com on every page. It sends Amazon your IP address, your browser's user agent and the address of the page so it can point links to your local Amazon store. Amazon may read or set its own cookies in your browser when the script loads. SnagLedger doesn't control those cookies and can't read them.

Amazon's cookies after you click

When you click an affiliate link, you leave SnagLedger and go to Amazon. Amazon then sets its own cookies in your browser, including one that tells Amazon you came from SnagLedger so the purchase can be credited. SnagLedger doesn't control those cookies and can't read them. Amazon's own privacy and cookie notices explain how it uses them.

How to control cookies

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking cookies won't break SnagLedger, but it may affect how Amazon's site works for you. Blocking third-party scripts may stop links from pointing to your local Amazon store.
