Xbox Series X Digital Edition (1TB)
The full-power Series X without the disc drive, for players who already buy everything digitally.
The Digital Edition has the same performance as the standard Series X: same processor, 1TB storage and 4K output. The only thing missing is the disc drive. That makes it the better buy for anyone who already lives in Game Pass, where most of the value is. It's a poor fit if you like buying cheap used games or want to sell games when you're done with them. Storage fills quickly with big games, so budget for an expansion card later.
| Good for | Players moving to Xbox who rely on Game Pass or digital purchases and want Series X performance, including 4K and 120fps in games that support it, without paying for a disc drive they won't use. |
|---|---|
| Catch | No disc drive, so you can't play, borrow, resell or trade in physical games, and you can't add a drive later. If you buy used games or own an Xbox One disc collection, get the disc model instead. |
